Jackie Adler – Director of Dance
Jackie is thrilled to be at the helm of the brand new Ignite Dance Academy. She started off as a Starr Dancer for the Summers Academy of Dance in Crystal Lake at age 3. She continued her dance education at All That Dance in Crystal Lake, primarily in the hip hop style. She was a member of the varsity dance team at Prairie Ridge High School all four years and was the captain and choreographer in her senior year. Jackie attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and obtained a B.S. in Secondary Education and English. While studying at Marquette, Jackie was a member of the Milwaukee-based hip-hop company Hype and also choreographed for the team throughout her time at MU. After graduation, Jackie returned home and became an English teacher at Woodstock North High school, as well as the head dance team coach at Johnsburg High School. After two years of coaching the Fire House team Fuego, Jackie has been given the opportunity to put the dance program into full swing and is excited to begin her journey as director of the new company! It is a dream come true for her and she can’t wait to see what the future brings for IDA!
Nickie is excited to continue her journey at Ignite Dance Academy. Growing up in Crystal Lake, her background is in gymnastics (which incorporated dance training) and cheerleading. She went on to collegiate cheerleading at Marquette University where she graduated with a B.A. in secondary education. During the year, she is a middle school teacher in Marengo. For the last three years, she has assisted with the Johnsburg High School dance team. For the last year, she has assisted with the Worlds hip hop Team Fuego at Fire House.
Mini Dance Team Coach/Instructor
Tori Vesneske is 16 years old and has been dancing on the Johnsburg Dance Team for the last three years. In the 2015-2016 season, Tori danced on the Fire House All-Star Dance Team called Fuego that qualified for the World Championships in Orlando, FL. Prior to that, Tori was an All-Star Cheerleader on many world championship teams for 11 years. She is dedicated to being a coach that encourages students to reach their potential not only in dance, but also in life. She is very excited to start a coaching career with the new program at Ignite Dance Academy, as well as dance for the program for the second year in a row!
Coach Jadie Vesneske is currently a sophomore in college studying physical therapy. She brings over a decade of experience in dance, cheer, and tumbling. At the age of two, she started with pre-ballet and participated in several concerts. She has also participated at the Illinois USTA Nationals. She has earned multiple level 5, all-star regional and national world titles. In high school, Jadie danced for the Johnsburg Hawkettes dance team, as well as the cheer team and all-star worlds team, all while coaching youth tumbling and recreational cheerleading. Her proudest moments are being the 1st Illinois team to win an NCA Dallas Nationals title and winning a bronze medal at the UCA/UDA Worlds. Jadie is excited to bring her enthusiasm and love for dance to Ignite this year!
Kailea Tilden started her dance career at the age of three and has studied ballet, tap and jazz under various teachers including Theodora Sonnenberg, Julia Bubalo, and Michelle Wiladsen. She was accepted into the dance program at the Missouri Fine Arts Academy in 2010. Kailea graduated from Missouri University of Science & Technology with a degree in Biology in 2015. She served as the Missouri S&T Ballet and Dance Club President for two years where she directed and starred in “The Lion King” and “The Little Mermaid.” In college she received the S&T Renaissance Student Award and the Joe Mooney Distinguished Student Award for her achievements in both the sciences and the arts. This will be Kailea’s fifth year teaching dance. Her students have competed at regional and national competitions across the state for the past several years, and were the Division Champions for Lyrical Small Group at Spotlight Dance Cup in 2015 and 2016. Kailea recently moved here from Rolla, MO and is excited to start sharing her love of dance with the students at Ignite Dance Academy!
